How do you assign your created player to a team?

I created a player and don't know how to assign him to a team. I'd like to be able to play with him in play now games.

After you created a player. Create a roster, use official nba teams. Your player should be in the free agents list. Select him then click assign to team. Choose your team then save the roster. To play with him go to Play now from the main  menu. Load the saved roster... Choose your team and play with your player.
